So the baby kildeer hatched.... there were four eggs, but there are only three young'uns. The fourth egg just kind of disappeared. not exactly sure what happened to it, but anyway the babies are growing fast and they are really funny. They can't fly yet, but they run quickly on their long legs like their parents. When the babies were first learning to run, they'd often trip and fall in the taller grass (which was pretty funny.)
Yay for birdwatching from home...
