First Week @ Corcoran High School

Well let me just say that it was a week full of great moments and not so great ones... I have made it through unscathed though and luckily so have my students... I am learning a lot about classroom management and especially how to handle a large class! My biggest class right now has 34 students! This experience is still in the beginning stages, but I can already see how it will shape me as a teacher.

I'm going to post a photo of my classroom in a few days too. We just changed around the seating arrangement to see if a new vantage point will help some of the students calm down. We'll see.

Other than teaching I've just been busy taking my class, preparing for teaching and taking my class on Wednesdays. Kinda boring right now, but busy.

Oh last Friday when I went out with Aimee and Michelle in Armory Square. We had a blast, checked out Ohm, Syracuse Suds, Daisy Duke's, Mully's and a couple of other places. It was a lot of fun. I was out until 3, let me just say that I have never been out that late before. Sheesh. Anyhoo, when I dropped Aimee off at her home, I met her adorable Golden Retriever, Toby. He is so cute and energetic. Anyway, he jumped up on my and broke my bead bracelet from Tiffany & Co. Aimee and I collected as many of the beads as we could find, and I mailed the bracelet back to Tiffany the next day. Luckily, they called me today and said that they will send me a new one. I am psyched. I guess that is why the place is so successful. They do provide awesome customer service.

Uh boring me. I guess that is all for now.
