The glory of snow.

December was snowless, January was somewhat more snowy, and the beginning of February has been nothing but snow. Winter should be snowy I suppose, so I am glad. The only semi annoying thing is that the snow from the front yard gets windblown into the front doorway so when the front door is opened, there's about two feet of snow, when we've only had a few inches of snowfall. Alright, enough about snow.

There was an article in today's New York Times (see link above) about the great lengths members of Silicon Valley are going through to find a missing Microsoft researcher, James Gray. I am impressed by how their efforts have been mobilized to find one of their own. I do hope that he is found alive and well and brought home safely. I only wish that all of those amazing resources could be accessed so readily for other missing persons cases as well, especially when those missing people are kids!

What else is new? Um, I've been spending a lot of time at Talbots. The manager is scheduling me for a lot of hours so it is a big difference from LOFT where at the most I was getting four hours a week! Sheesh. It is a good place though. The clientele is older and more established, and I feel like the youngster amongst a gaggle of the other older ladies who work in the store. It's good though because I was always buying trendy stuff at LOFT, while at Talbots I can take my time and invest slowly in some classic and timeless pieces.

Other than that, I'm still filling out lots of applications and checking out every other teaching lead I come across. I really want to start teaching soon while all of my Masters' knowledge is fresh in my head.

Not much else going on other that working, going to the barn, errands and keeping the house up. We did get tickets to see Jerry Seinfeld in March when he comes into Syracuse, so that should be fun. I also have to head to NJ in a couple of weeks for dual Grandma birthday parties, one for my Dad's Mom and one for my Grandfather's wife. I'll be fun to see everyone, so I'm looking forward to that too.

I'll be back when I have some interesting and /or significant news to report.
