I have teaching job offers! I went to a huge teaching job fair in Cortland on Monday and Tuesday. It was an exciting opportunity because so many local and faraway schools were represented. I ended up having six interviews and two on-the-spot offers. It was a great feeling to know that what I learned in school will not be going to waste. So the schools I met with were: Baldwinsville, North Syracuse, East Syracuse-Minoa, Wappingers Falls, West Palm Beach and NYC. Yup, the last two schools on the list were those that gave me the offers. As much as I would like to move to West Palm, I don't know that it is feasible, but I will not cross it off the list yet. NYC is a much more viable option as DAS is likely to be transferred back there. Either way though, I have a job, and I will be doing what I love!
On another issue, I had a talk with CM last week about the way she was treating me at the barn. She showed no remorse and simply said that I was there to work and she treated me as such. In fact her words were that I was a "grunt." I do not recall when I joined the army to partake in horseback riding, but that is another story. So, we basically had it out, and I have not been back for the last week. I think it is unlikely that I will go back, at least not in a "working student" capacity. We'll see.
