Day One: Blue water, Mojitos and Sunburn

Saturday was just about the best day ever. After eating breakfast at the hotel, we went to the beach across the street. So easy... Got our beach chairs and tanned / burned for hours. The water is gorgeous and so warm. No big waves or anything. We swam and relaxed and had some drinks. Forget the G&T, I had a Mojito, My darling had Heineken. Our only objective for the day was to go to B.E.D for our dinner reservation at 8:30. Sun, fun and relaxation was it for us until about 6 when we got ready for dinner and headed out to SoBe, about a five minute drive from our hotel. Our original car was going to be a Mazda 6, but we opted for something just a little nicer. Dubbed Fritz or Fritzie, this Audi A4 2.0T was a sweet ride with a great soundsystem.

B.E.D, (Beverage, Entertainment, Dining) has a silly gimmick that I thought would be a memorable way to enjoy dinner on our first night. All patrons eat on large beds complete with an array of plush pillows. We were seated / bedded promptly and enjoyed a delicious dinner on the comfort of our own, immense bed. There were threats that another couple might ruin our fun and share our bed, but thankfully the rogues never showed up. Following the crabcake appetizer, mahi mahi for me and Filet Mignon for my dear, we finished up the meal with an outstanding and enormous Dulce de Leche souffle. The dinners were not first rate, I'd say B.E.D is more in it for the ambiance and drinks rather than gourmet food, but all in all, it was more than satisfactory.

We were finished with dinner pretty late and decided to head back to Circa 39. After a long drive with Fritz, we fell asleep with smiles and tan lines.
