Help evs get a horse...

So it has been over a week since I last posted. The previous week was crazy busy. I took a week long graduate course at SU which focused on using nonfiction texts in the classroom. I was in the classroom from 8-4:30 with a break for lunch, and it was really intense. I feel like I crammed a lot into my brain though, and hopefully I will be able to use what I learned in the classrom in the fall. School will be starting soon - the summer has just flown by.

The weekend was pretty boring. Das and I went to The Little Thai House for dinner on Friday night. It was really good - I had a raspberry Martini which was quite delicious. I went to the barn on Saturday and worked at night, and then we went over to our neighbor's house for a few drinks. Had a good time, it was nice to socialize and just chill out for a bit. Sunday, more work and that is about it. I watched Napoleon Dynamite for the 10th time. I love that movie! It so rocks!

I had to have my car looked at today at the dealership because it is making a noise that sounds like something is hitting the underside of the car. Brandon @ Burdick said that it was the heat shield and it was removed, so should no longer be a problem. Lo and behold, when I got back into the car to drive away, the noise was still present. So I paid $39.95 for naught. I guess I'll be going back there tomorrow. Argh. Work was fine albeit boring. The barn was better. I love PR, he is such a sweet guy and although he needs some work, I have not been around a horse with his personality and presence in quite awhile. I would love, love, love to buy him, but I don't think this is the right time. Not only do I not have the cash to shell out, I also don't have a full-time job and I am in school. This really should be a no-brainer, but my heart is telling me that I have wanted a horse all of my life so why not now, and I really, really want a horse of my own. But I have waited this long, so what is a couple more months / years? Double argh.

On the bright side, Florida on Friday. I am really looking forward to it. Oh, das is calling, gotta finish watching Basic Instinct II (his choice.) Cheers.
