Once about four years ago, when I worked in Manhattan, I started a blog. It was full of ranting about my boss, work, and a lot of other inane topics. It lasted about a month and then went the way of the dodo. Now, I live near the "Salt City" and have some time on my hands, I think I'll try it again and join the thousands (millions?) of other people who have blogs and see how long this one lasts.
What do I have to talk about? Oh, you name it and I can talk about it. I have a lot to say, only not a lot of people to say it to. I guess the first and foremost reason why I am starting this blog so to speak is to have a place to write down amusing / funny / weird things and share them with whomever wants to read them. I don't think anything with be earthshattering in its complexity or revelation, but maybe someone will laugh or grimace along with me and I'll feel like part of the world instead of a person lost in a hayfield somewhere out in the sticks.
Some of the things you can expect to hear about during the course of this blog are:
-the antics of my dear Basenji dog
-the antics of my beloved and hardworking husband
-my adventures in horse-back riding
-what it is like to work in retail part-time
-the final semester of graduate school at: Syracuse University, go orange... blah, blah.
-how it will be to have my final semester of student teaching at an inner-city high school
-what it is like to have to drive twenty miles for a decent iced skim latte, and why most restaurants in central new york have not even heard of skim milk, ugh.
-the adventures of an epicurean semi-vegetarian in a place where there is no cuisine.
etc.
-along the way there may be posts about what I'm reading, what I'm listening to, what I wish for, etc.
