I am up relatively early this morning. Wanted to check a few auctions I have going on eBay. Nothing spectacular happening there... and then I have to go to work in a few hours. Last night at work was extremely quiet because of major thunderstorms throughout the day and a tornado warning. Interesting.
I was at the barn prior to going to work and had a good time. PR, the horse I have been riding, lives out in a field at night with his buddy, Pepper. When we brought them in from the field, I noticed that PR had a nasty cut on his left front leg, just below the shoulder. I spent much of the day cold hosing him and generally keeping an eye on him. He really is a sweet horse. I rode him as well, but did not do any jumping. We thought it would be best just to give him a break today.
It took forever to get home due to the weather, and then I had to rush off to work. When I finally got home at 10:30, I thought it would be nice to just sit and relax with Xena and das, but he was in a bad mood. Still upset from work I guess. I started watching a movie, and then I went up to see him because he had said earlier that he had a bad headache. He was resting but then decided to bring up our fight about the big screen tv from the other day. He said that I can't share, which is BS. Anyway, the row escalated with us both saying wretched things, and pretty soon I think we both felt pretty miserable.
I really wanted to take Xena and just leave for a little while, but since it was midnight and I really did not have anywhere to go, I stayed here. I guess we sort of made up before going to sleep, but let me reiterate how hard it is to have a fight with your best friend in a place where you literally have no family, no friends and no place to go. It truly is a lousy feeling.
Enough about that. I'll get over it. We'll get past it, but sometimes it is really tough.
I am starting my class tomorrow. It is every day this week from 8-5. It will be pretty intense, but it is three credits and helps me to finish my degree, so yay for that.
I am thinking about getting a new digital camera, but I am not sure yet. The one I have is a hand-me down Kodak EasyShare CX7430 from my mom, which has been a workhorse for the past year, but it is no frills and since I dropped it a few times, the battery door does not close all the way and sometimes it has trouble turning on. I am thinking about a SONY Cyber-shot DSC-T30 7.2 megapixel machine, but at almost $500, it will make a significant dent in the old pocket book. Any ideas?
I think I am going to need to crank up the 'ol Disturbed CD and let it rip while I am on my way to work. Either that or listen to the crap I have on my iPod which is getting dusty from not being used. Yeah, there are some good tracks on there - maybe they are just what the doctor ordered.
